Now the Olympic Games has drawn to a close we can reflect on its successes, it challenges, and our hopes for future games.
God of all nations,
we thank you for the Olympic Games in Rio:
for the gathering of many nations in peace.
We thank you for the athletes, coaches and officials;
and for the support staff, broadcasters and spectators.
We pray for the the Paralympics,
that they will enable all who participate to give of their best
and inspire a generation with a vision of a more inclusive world,
now and forevermore. Amen.
